What is the Project?
For this project we had to design a building that would be a future San Marin science building. The requirements were that we had to have a building that was around 13,000 square feet with ten classrooms, rooms to satisfy the teachers, and it has to be energy efficient to save money.

We learned about the earth’s layer and the earthquakes and understand them a little more. We need to know at first that there are many different types of earthquakes. There are the p wave earthquakes, which means primary wave and there are S wave earthquakes or secondary wave. The earthquakes happen when the crust 25 miles below rub against each other. The more they rub, the more powerful the earthquake is. Then there is the core. The outer core is 1,500 miles deep and the inner core is 3,200 miles deep.
My contributions
For this project, I did more of the physical work than the mental work. I had built the cardboard model and sketched out the space model. I also helped with the 3D model and threw out ideas for our presentation. On the more emotional side I supported our team when we struggled and helped to build them up as well.
Reflection
This project was definitely a more fun than I had thought it would be. My group members (Gigi, Cooper and Madison) made the project easier and a lot more fun. I feel that I could have worked a little bit harder and focused a little more. My group helped me to focus and on the presentation we did a great job and got a 100 on the project.
