I. This year for the 2017-18 STEM rube Goldberg, the theme of my machine was Trick or Treat. My group members, Pranav Pannala, Lucy Ostrowski, and Sebastian Orellana were a great group of people to work with and around for the time that was spent building our machine. Our machine was a huge success and I am so glad to see everything work the way it worked. To be honest I could have done more work for my team but it worked and it turned out to be great.
A Rube Goldberg machine is a machine that has multiple steps that get one task done. An example is getting toothpaste on a toothbrush or in our case getting a candle in a jackolantern.
For the physics we needed to find the force of the ball and dominoes. We also found the velocity and acceleration of the ball.
While doing this project, I feel that I gained group working skills and learned what to do and what not to. It helped me to learn what to do for my next project.
As expected we had of obstacles. We had to agree on some points that we didn’t want to, but after we did we had to agree on what everybody had to do. It took some time,but eventually we got along and got the job done.
